今早一到公司，便看到奈的来电，我和奈实在大概07年底或08年初认识的，那时她来新加坡读英文，不到一年她便回到了日本，这以后我们的联络就越来越少了，曾有一段我们在facebook还能隐隐约约知道一些对方的消息，到后来她的facebook也关闭了，自此我们彻底地失掉了联络，大概已有一年多了。今天真是好高兴再次听到她的消息，并为她找到了自己的白马王子而感到无比欣慰。祝愿他们白头到老，早生贵子。
This morning, I had received an email from 奈. We got to know each other at either the end of 2007 or early 2008. She came to Singapore to study English. After that she returned back to Japan. At first, we still kept in touch on and off. She had also facebook account at the time. Later on she closed it around 1 year ago. After that we completely lost touch. It’s really a surprise for me to reconnect her back and came to know that she will tie her knot this coming April. I felt really happy for her. Below is her message:

As I need to go to visit my mama in June, I emailed her to see whether I could visit her in April instead. Meanwhile, I could also see the famous cherry blossoms that I always dreamt to see. On 11/3 a sudden and very powerful earthquake struck Japan accompanied by a tsunami. But that was not the worst. Due to the nuclear leakage, Japan is no longer safe to visit.

Are They Fated? / 奇妙的缘
几位同事迷上了摄影，力邀我做他们的模特，既然人家赏脸，我又没有相机，那就去喽。你还别说，这大半天下来还真累，收工后回到家倒头便睡。另一位女同事看到我上载的照片责怪我为什么不叫上她也一起去，当我无意中提起其中一位同事的好友太太去世不久，她便希望我能为她介绍介绍，我也觉得他们俩人满般配，便一口答应了，她说：“如果成了，我请你吃大餐。”“新加坡能有什么大餐呀，要不然事成之后你请我去中国吃啦，顺便也帮我出飞机票钱。”“没问题，一言为定。”谁知一连几天我也没见到我的同事，而她可是个急脾气，每天下班见到我便忍不住地问：“咱的大餐怎样了？”“还没搭上线了，别急，在等等，好事多磨。”接下来日子一天天地过去，却不再有什么消息，大概是她觉得红包太小了，便提出事成之后要大肆酬谢媒人，将送我一个价值5000元的豪华游配套，并允许我带一名旅伴，她出我的全部费用及旅伴费用的一半。也不知是由于重赏之下必有勇夫呢还是命该如此，在她问了几次豪华游怎样了之后，我终于见到的我的这位摄影师同事，他是位热心肠，当即便安排见面等事宜，如今当我再见到这位女同事时，她已不再需要问及豪华游怎样了之类的问题，但洋溢在她脸上的难以掩饰的喜悦早已使得语言成了多余的东西了。现在的她已在忙着筹备婚礼啦!此故事的续集将在他们婚后继续出版，敬请期待！
Some of my colleagues were fascinated with photography. They invited me to be their model. As I didn’t have a digital camera myself and was quite free at the time, I thought, why not? It was quite a tiring job. After finishing a half day’s shooting I reached home and soon fell asleep. One of my female colleagues saw the photos that I had uploaded, she asked me why had I not invited her to come along too. When I accidentally mentioned that a friend of my colleague’s wife had passed away not very long ago, she became very curious and asked to be introduced. “I will give you a fancy dinner as a treat once successful.” “There’s nothing much to eat here in Singapore. I will consider if you invite me to go to China and give me a treat there. Of course you will have to pay for my air ticket and my hotel stay.” I just teased her. “Deal.” In the following few days, I didn’t have a chance to meet that colleague. She was a bit worried. “How’s our feast going?” “I haven’t met him yet. Give me a few more days. No worries.” But since then, day after day passed and there was still no news. Maybe she thought the incentive was not enough to get me motivated. So she upgraded her offer to a S$5,000 luxury travel package! On top of that, I could bring a partner and she would pay half of the cost for him/her. Maybe it was just a coincidence, or maybe it was God’s arrangement, but not long after this, I met my colleague again. He is a rather warm hearted kind of fellow and made immediate arrangements for an appointment. Now there is no need for her to ask me about how the luxury trip is going, because happiness is written on her face. She is busy preparing for her coming wedding. I’ll update you more once they marry. So don’t go away, and stay tuned.

New Born Baby
Today, (8/8/9) I joined my friends' new born baby's 100 day ceremony cum house warming. They were married two years ago and our family went for the wedding banquet. Early this year, they just bought a new flat at Chu kang Dr. Their baby boy was born about 2 and a half month ago. The couple like to share their happiness with us. So they invited us to join the celebration.
